Each of these four women bring a unique perspective on a Gospel which is empowering, liberating, and serving of all people. In order to fully bring the Gospel to life, the Church must embrace the gifts and the leadership of women. Through the courage and conviction of women such as Thecla, Lydia, Mary Magdalene, and Phoebe, the modern-day Church may be strengthened and guided to more fully embody the radical compassion of Jesus Christ.
